Product Details
- Default size: Unless another size is specified, we will size the patch so it reaches either 2.25 inches tall or 4 inches wide, whichever limit comes first. Other sizes are available by request.
- Shape: Merrowed patches require a simple outside shape that allows the stitched border to run smoothly and consistently. Good examples include circles, ovals, squares or rectangles with rounded corners, and hexagons with rounded corners. Other simple shapes may also work. Complex contours, sharp points, tight inside corners, and intricate die-cut shapes may not be suitable for a merrowed edge.
- Material: Premium leatherette with USA-made heat-activated adhesives.
- Edge: Stitched merrowed border for a traditional finished patch appearance.
- Merrow thread color: Thread color is currently selected as part of the artwork/order process. Black, white, and silver are the standard options.

Artwork Requirements
For best results, upload clean black-and-white artwork unless another engraving style is requested. Vector files such as SVG, AI, EPS, or PDF are preferred. High-resolution PNG or JPG files are also accepted.
Use solid black for areas to engrave and solid white or transparency for areas not to engrave. Avoid gradients, shadows, fine photographic detail, and low-resolution images.
Merrowed shape requirement: Artwork must use a simple outer shape suitable for a consistent stitched border. Circles, ovals, rounded rectangles, and rounded hexagons are good examples. If you are unsure whether your shape can be merrowed cleanly, contact us before ordering.
Artwork must be complete, correctly spelled, and ready to engrave. The listed price does not include logo recreation, design work, extensive cleanup, or vectorization. Free mockups are not provided before purchase. If we find an issue that could prevent clean production, we will contact you.

Application Instructions
Every patch arrives heat press ready with USA-made heat-activated adhesive already applied. A dual-platen hat press is highly recommended. A single-platen press may also be used with adjusted settings. See our Hat Patch Application Instructions.
